10/12: Join in the Akron/Summit Pilgrimage of Hope for Creation this Fall – Sunday, October 12! Co-Hosted by the Catholic Commission of Summit County and St. Vincent de Paul Church-Akron. On Sunday, Oct. 12, 1:30-3:30pm, join in the Jubilee Year spirit at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Parish (164 W Market St, Akron, OH 44303) for a Pilgrimage of Hope for Creation—a Jubilee Year of Hope local opportunity to encounter Christ in Creation and renew our relationships with God, the Earth, and one another. Participants will prayerfully walk from St. Vincent de Paul to Elizabeth Park, in the nearby Cascade Village neighborhood, and back, approximately 1.5 miles round-trip. The Pilgrimage includes some uneven sidewalks and an uphill return route. The Pilgrimage includes a brief opening prayer service and a brief prayer service at Elizabeth Park. The Pilgrimage concludes indoors back at St. Vincent with time for fellowship and refreshments in the parish hall.
