11/29-12/18 Raffle Christmas Trees on Display at Peninsula Library : When you’re in the vicinity of the Peninsula Library, stop in to see the beautiful mini Christmas trees; one is decorated by Mother of Sorrows parishioner Betty Derrer. Each year trees are decorated by local merchants, organizations and individuals and then raffled to benefit children’s programming at the library and the Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, of which MOS is a member. This is the first time Mother of Sorrows has a decorated tree in the rafffle. Thank you, Betty! Trees will be on display from Nov 29-Dec 18. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the library (tickets are $3 each or 3 tickets for $10). [posted 11/18-12/06]

12/5 First Friday Club of Akron: “What the heck is a Parish Life Coordinator?” Our own Deacon Will Yoho will be guest speaker at
this luncheon. Join us as he answers his own question, “What the heck is a Parish Life Coordinator (PLC)?” — the only question he had when he was asked by the Bishop to become PLC to Mother of Sorrows. We will need to reserve a table (or hopefully multiple tables) for MOS parishioners to sit together. If you are interested, cost for lunch and talk is $25 and is payable at the door. Doors open at 11 AM, lunch is served at 11:30, and everything winds up at 1 PM. Please let Carol know (carolk4mos@gmail.com) by November 26 if you would like to reserve a seat. We will reserve as many tables as necessary, but need 8 people in order to reserve each full table. If you reserve and must later cancel, please find a replacement for yourself. First Friday Club luncheons are held at Our Lady of Cedars,
